Project Goals:

Overall objective (s): Improving the provision of specialized medical services by purchasing a video endoscopic system with a digital gastroscope.

Specific objectives:  The purchase and use of a video endoscopic system with a digital gastroscope will ensure equal and fair access of patients to medical care, improving public health through early diagnosis of diseases.

Diagnosis of diseases in the early stages;

- reduction of mortality due to early diagnosis of diseases;

-improving the provision of specialized medical services;

- creation of a modern material and technical base for the provision of specialized medical care;

- improving the quality of disease diagnosis;

- expanding the range of medical services;

-introduction of advanced methods of diagnosis and treatment;

-significant economic effect due to the reduction of the period of incapacity for work and the costs of treating patients;

- reducing the cost of procedures.

Improving the provision of specialized medical services by purchasing a video endoscopic system with a digital gastroscope.

4.1.2. Specific Objectives

1. Early diagnosis of tumors;

2. Improving the health of the population;

3. Rational use of hospital resources

The introduction of the modern technologies will ensure equal and fair access of patients to medical care, improve public health, through early diagnosis of diseases.

Contribution to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the priority objectives of the relevant national strategy / development program of the recipient country.

Goal 3. Ensuring a healthy lifestyle and promoting well-being for everyone at all ages.

3.8 Ensure general health coverage, including protection from financial risks, access to quality basic health services, effective, high-quality and inexpensive essential medicines and vaccines for everyone.

3.c Substantially increase health care financing and the recruitment, development, training and retention of medical personnel in developing countries, especially in the least developed countries and small developing island states.

3.d To increase the capacity of all countries, especially developing countries, in the field of early risk prevention, its reduction, national and global health risks control.

Every year about 19 thousand patients are treated, including almost 4 thousand children, 60 doctors, 420 workers.

Purpose of the Activity:

The purchase and use of a video endoscopic system with a digital gastroscope will ensure equal and fair access of patients to medical care, improving public health through early diagnosis of diseases.

Description and Justification of the Activity:

Municipal non-profit enterprise of Kam'yansʹke Town Council «Local Hospital № 7» was founded in December 1974.

It is the largest multidisciplinary medical and diagnostic institution in the town that provides specialized medical care to the population.

The hospital has 14 inpatient departments with 425 beds as of January 2020. In the inpatient departments of the hospital about 19 thousand patients are treated annually, including 4 thousand children. More than 6 thousand operations are done per year. The outpatient department provides care to 7.5 thousand patients. The institution treats not only town’s residents, but also people from the surrounding districts - almost 3 thousand patients per year.

The paraclinical service of the hospital is represented by the pathological department where histological examinations and autopsies of the dead are performed by clinical diagnostic laboratory with bacteriological and express diagnostics departments, endoscopic service, room of functional diagnostics and X-ray department

More than 700,000 laboratory tests are performed per year. From March 30, 2020, the institution was determined as a base for hospitalization of patients with coronavirus disease COVID-19 from the town Kam'yansʹke and 4 districts of the region.

The organization of the project implementation will be held through an open bidding process. A contract for the supply of equipment will be concluded with the winner of the procurement. Delivery, installation, commissioning and training of personnel will be organized at the expense of the supplier.

The hospital has staff qualified to work on this equipment.
